Johnson Health Center’s Mobile Medical Unit will be coming to Bedford County Public Schools to provide physicals and immunizations for the upcoming school year. Call to schedule your child’s appointment at (434) 929-1400 ext. 1140. Appointments are limited at both locations. All insurances accepted. Financial assistance is available if uninsured. As dates come available they will be posted here.

Does your child need doctor's order forms or emergency action plans for asthma, diabetes, seizures, allergies or other chronic health conditions?  For important information and documents and health services forms , click here to be directed to the BCPS School Nursing services page.

Your child's health and safety in the school setting is important. Please provide appropriate medications, supplies and doctor's orders prior to the start of the school year (or as soon as your child is diagnosed).

MEDICATIONS

All medications, including cough drops, require a parent to bring them in.  If it is an over-the-counter medication and the clinic can administer the medicine as directed on the packaging, a physician's written order is NOT needed.  If it is a prescription, the physician needs to sign the written order. BCPS no longer supplies Tylenol, Ibuprofen, Cough Drops or any other medications.  ALL medications require a parental signature

Clean hands are the best way to help prevent the spread of germs. Reinforce proper hand washing with your child (a minimum of 20 seconds with warm, soapy water).
