Mrs. Mona Kanode is the School Counselor
and Library Media Specialist
Students have guidance lessons in a classroom setting in which a variety of topics such as character education, bullying, substance abuse educaton, career exploration, friendship, social skills, etc. are covered. School counselors are available to enchance student social/personal, academic, and career exploration skills as the year progresses.
Personal/social counseling is available through individual and small group sessions. Referrals for counseling can be made by the student, parent/guardian, or teacher. Mrs. Kanode meets with students for a variety of reasons that include anger, grief, conflict, self-esteem, friendship, anxiety, family changes, and so forth.
