Ms. Painter's Third Grade Class!
I am super excited to begin my first year of teaching with an amazing group of students! I absolutely love being able to help and motivate students to succeed in their academics in order to meet their dreams. Teaching is such an inspiring career! I try to make learning as fun and educational as i possibly can so that the students enjoy learning and coming to school. My classroom motto is that we as a class are all a family and we will always treat one another the way we would want to be treated!
I attended Longwood University in which I earned my bachelor's degree in elementary education prek-6 grade. I have worked with a variety of grade levels through practicum internships and student teaching. Once I graduated, I began substitute teaching for Bedford County and Lynchburg City Schools to enhance my teaching skills. I fortunately long-term subbed for third grade at BIES and fell in love with the school. I am so happy to be back where I love to be as a full time teacher! I also grew up in the area of Big Island so it is as if I am returning home.
Some things about me when I am not in school..I enjoy camping, kayaking, hiking, going to the beach, watching football (Hokies!), playing with my puppy, Millie, and many other activities! I am excited for a new year and hope to impact the young minds of our society!
Feel free to contact me by calling the school or sending me an email and I will try to reply as soon as I can! :)
